Regional Focus: East Lancashire (Blackburn with Darwen, Hyndburn)

East Lancashire combines global manufacturers, creative entrepreneurs and ambitious town centre regeneration.

Blackburn with Darwen’s role as a commercial and cultural hub is complemented by Hyndburn’s diverse SME base, while both areas are supported by strong colleges and training providers.

We’ll highlight the stories of resilience and growth, examining the sectors, skills and infrastructure that shape the East of the county.

We are looking to talk to businesses, educators,  professional services, real estate, marketing, leisure, retail, tourism and local authorities supporting  the East Lancashire economy.

Report: Health & Wellbeing

Lancashire firms are trialing new models - from occupational health to cultural change - but questions remain on cost, responsibility and what works.

Expect robust challenge, practical insight and clear actions.

We are looking to talk to businesses, employers, HR leaders, healthcare providers, support services and policymakers tackling workplace health.

Lead the conversation: Joint sponsorship of the Health and Wellbeing event includes a seat on the panel debate, an opportunity to invite key business targets to the audience, brand association, profile raising and advertorial/advertising space within the review feature in the January/February issue.

Roundtable: Investment

Investment remains a critical driver of Lancashire’s growth story - from inward investment and venture capital to major developments and local funding.

This closed-door debate will gather stakeholders to discuss the appetite, barriers and opportunities shaping the county’s investment landscape.

We are looking to speak to funders, advisors, developers and growth-focused businesses across Lancashire.

Commercial opportunities include: Sole or joint sponsorship of the debate and feature to include brand alignment, participation in the debate, an opportunity to propose guests/key business targets to invite to the debate and advertising space within the three page review feature in the January/February issue.

Insight: Skills & Apprenticeships
In the Jan/Feb and Mar/April 2026 editions of Lancashire Business View, to complement February’s National Apprentice Week, we will be running our annual campaign to explore the pivotal role of apprenticeships in shaping Lancashire’s future economic prosperity.

Businesses of all sectors and sizes are invited to participate and lead the conversation on skills development and apprenticeships, showcasing the impact these initiatives have had on their success.

We will also focus on the vital work of skills providers in ensuring Lancashire’s future economic success. 

Skills providers are invited to showcase their ongoing commitment to fostering the region’s talent pipeline and shape the conversation on how best to meet future skills needs.

All participants will be granted a seat at the table for our in-person Skills and Apprenticeships Debate ), giving them the chance to lead the conversation on:

  • Skills provision
  • Learner uptake
  • Meeting business needs through effective training
  • Best practices in skills development
  • Lancashire’s short- and long-term growth ambitions
