Hive Awards celebrates business in Blackburn

The Hive business network celebrated outstanding businesses and inspirational individuals from across the borough of Blackburn with Darwen at its annual awards.

The Hive Awards took place at King George’s Hall and the event was hosted by Blackburn comedian Tez Ilyas.

As part of the awards ceremony, the Hive network named both the best small and large business of the year.

The winner of the best small business of the year was Blackburn based sales and lettings agents Stone and Young, who impressed judges with their commitment to continuing growth.

Whilst the award the best large business of the year went to regional solicitors Curtis Law Solicitors LLP.

The Hive also presented a special award, the Arte et Labore Award, to local Business person Khalid Saifullah for his years of work and commitment in helping to make the local area a better place to live, work and invest.

Whilst Hive chairman Ian Brown, presented the Chairman’s Award to the Blackburn Business Improvement District (BID) for all its efforts in turning the fortunes of Blackburn Town Centre around in a short space of time.
