Nitecrest increases production facilities

Leyland-based Nitecrest has increased its card manufacturing facility, already the largest in Europe.

The firm has installed two new plastic card production machines which handle speciality shapes and will now produce double the number of the bespoke plastic cards on a daily basis.

Nitecrest’s M6 card includes a hanging piece for point of sale display use, and the company’s key tags are manufactured to the same ISO standards as credit cards and can be used for customer loyalty cards.

Ronnie Hart, managing director, said: “We are heading into 2018 with a huge increase in capacity for our speciality shaped cards, reacting to market trends and offering clients unrivalled lead times.

“The increased capacity will also support our Simply Plastic Cards business which produces small and medium sized businesses with a range of card options and offers trade discount to printers and print management companies.”

The increased capacity for card production follows paralleled growth in Nitecrest’s direct mailing and fulfilment services.

The state-of-the-art facility handles a range of match and attach processes, including large volume, selective inserts and the unique capability to attach up to four plastic cards per sheet.
