New insolvency administrator joins Opus Preston

Sharon Gregory joins Opus this month and will be based in the Preston office to support the local business market.

With over 12 years’ experience in administrator roles, Sharon is well positioned to get off to a fast start in supporting both the current cases and the predicted increase in insolvency appointments. Initially working in personal insolvency, Sharon made the move into corporate insolvency in 2019.

Ian McCulloch, partner at the Preston office, explains: "As we have been predicting, we are unfortunately seeing an increase of businesses struggling with cash flow challenges and pressure from creditors, including HMRC. It’s been a long two years for many businesses trying to survive but with Government support and protection being lifted, the strain has become too much for many business owners."

Ian concludes: "Sharon is a fantastic addition to the Opus team. We always look for people to join us who have the people skills to manage cases with sensitivity and care, along with the knowledge and experience to provide the high standard of work our clients and referrers expect. Sharon provides all this and more, and I look forward to working alongside her."
