Granby, based in Blackburn, has been named the Logistics Service Provider of the Year at the UK Warehousing Association (UKWA) Awards for Excellence 2024.

The prestigious event, held at the Royal Lancaster in London, was a momentous occasion for Granby and a significant achievement for Lancashire. This accolade is a testament to the hard work, dedication, and excellence of the Granby team, and it highlights the thriving business landscape in our great county.

The Awards Ceremony

This year’s UKWA Awards for Excellence were hosted by the charismatic Alastair Campbell, known for his sharp wit and insightful commentary, and for his support for his beloved Lancashire football club, Burnley FC. The event was a celebration of the best in the warehousing industry. Alastair’s engaging presentation added a unique flair to the ceremony, making it a memorable experience for all attendees.

The Logistics Service Provider of the Year Award celebrates organisations that exemplify best practices in working safely, ethically, and profitably. Granby’s win in this category is a reflection of their commitment to these principles.

A Record-Breaking Year

This year, the UKWA saw a record number of entries, highlighting the exceptional talent and quality within the industry. The competition for the Logistics Service Provider of the Year award was particularly fierce, making Granby’s win even more significant.

Celebrating Lancashire’s Success

Granby’s triumph at the UKWA Awards is not just a win for the company; it is a celebration of Lancashire’s vibrant business community. The county has a rich history of innovation and industry, and Granby’s success story is a shining example of the talent and dedication that Lancashire has to offer.

Caroline Noblett, managing director at Granby, expressed her pride and excitement: “I couldn’t be prouder of the whole Granby team. I’ve had a fabulous day at the awards in London with Victoria Pittman but really looking forward to taking the award back to share with all the team!” Victoria Pittman, Granby’s Head of Client Services and Business Development, added, “So proud of Team Granby. We may have been there today to collect it, but it’s one for us all.”

Looking Ahead

Granby’s win at the UKWA Awards for Excellence 2024 is a celebration of teamwork, dedication, and industry leadership. As we bring this award home to Lancashire, we look forward to continuing our journey of excellence and innovation in the logistics sector. Here’s to many more milestones and achievements in the future!

This award is not just a testament to Granby’s hard work but also a reflection of the thriving business environment in Lancashire. It showcases the county’s potential to excel on national and international stages, reinforcing Lancashire’s reputation as a hub of industry and innovation.
