Practical TUPE for Employers

Like it or not, almost every business is affected at some time or another by TUPE.

Many of the delegates that have attended HR Exchange events in the past have recognised this and experienced the problems that can arise. As a result, we have been asked to cover the subject and shed some light on what is always regarded as an extremely complex topic.

When it relates to purchasing part of or all of a business, granting or taking over a lease of premises and operating the same business from those premises, outsourcing, winning and/or losing tenders, insourcing or selling on, the TUPE Regulation creates obligations arising in all these commercial activities. Failure to follow the rules and obligations in connection with the transfer of employment rights and the information and consultation obligations can be extremely costly.

With this in mind, we are holding a seminar addressing these issues. The general legal principles will be discussed and we will collectively work through a number of examples of common problems that are regularly encountered.

The event will then conclude with our usual employment law update.

We do hope you are able to join us and we look forward to seeing you at the event. Numbers are limited so make sure you reserve a space by booking online now.
