Personal Productivity: A UCLan Masterclass – 9 May 2019

Learn the Routes to Higher Productivity

Time is our most precious resource, but we do not always use it to be as productively as we might. It is easy to say “work smarter, not harder” but not always so simple to achieve.  We receive more information and calls on our attention than ever before and so we need to find better ways to get the most from our time and use it effectively, so that our lives are not only more productive but also more balanced.

Designed for business leaders, this masterclass will highlight ways to beat procrastination and to place your attention it the right places at the right times.

Using what you learn, you can look forward to a working week when you feel in control of your focus and the technology around you, therefore getting a greater sense of fulfilment from your efforts.

This masterclass will be delivered by Val Moon, Senior Researcher at the Centre for SME Development, University of Central Lancashire. Val is responsible for designing, coordinating, reporting and evaluating research which has impact among small medium enterprises of all types in the region. Previously a Lecturer in Business and Management, Val also has an extensive background in Head Office research and strategy roles in major private sector businesses (Sears, The Rank Organisation and Shop Direct). Following recent work on productivity amongst SMEs in Lancashire, she became even more interested in personal productivity and is here today to share her learning with you.
