Leading transformation: Adopting industrial digital technologies
Have you ever considered if machine learning or artificial intelligence could improve the productivity of your factory? Or whether you could leverage data to predict machine maintenance or identify efficiency savings and increase your profits?
Have you ever wondered how you would lead your company through a digital transformation?
Featuring a keynote address from Will Butler-Adams, CEO of Brompton Bicycle Ltd, this event is aimed at supporting Lancashire Manufacturing SME’s in leading their business through this change.
Will Butler-Adams will share Brompton’s journey from manual production to introducing Raspberry Pi technology on assembly lines; automating the paint line and wheel building machines. He will share the challenges and successes, the digital technologies used and the leadership role he played along the way. Will is leaving his rose-tinted glasses at home, to tell you the real story of what it’s like to lead the digital transformation of a manufacturing company.
Following Will is one of the world’s leading experts on leadership. Professor Steve Kempster of Lancaster University Management School will discuss the importance of leadership and the role of the leader in creating value through digitalisation.
Finally, an interactive panel discussion featuring Will Butler-Adams, Prof. Steve Kempster and three industry experts who have been part of digital transformation projects. Dawn Stockell is Marketing Director of Burnley-based VEKA PLC and led the company through their digital transformation. Claire Holt is Business & Partnerships Consultant at technology and process innovations specialist Hosokawa Micron. Claire has extensive experience of the operational impacts of process innovations and data driven manufacturing.
This event will give you the opportunity to take the time out of the business to explore what your own digital transformation journey might look like and to hear about opportunities available from Lancaster University to support you.
