For some, buying and selling businesses is a part of everyday business life.
For others, it’s a once in a lifetime event.
Whichever camp you sit in, the experts we are gathering for our second ‘Doing the Deal’ event of 2019 will offer clarity, insight, experience and guidance.
At the event we will consider the buying and selling of businesses with those who have done it and those who advised them.
Panel discussions with audience Q&A will look at a host of key issues, ranging from getting your business fit for sale to deciding which route to take when it comes to buying – or selling.
And at this event, we will take a closer look at Private Equity and get under the skin of where the benefits lie and how best to apply due diligence to the process.
Panel One: the businesses
In our first panel discussion, we will hear from the entrepreneurs who have successfully bought and sold businesses.
We’ll be seeking the insight of their first-hand experiences. We want to know what is needed to successfully ‘Do the Deal’ – the pitfalls they faced and how to avoid them - and the valuable advice they believe will benefit others looking to go down the same route.
We’ll also hear about the funding options they faced.
- Mike Ashworth, managing director, Nublue
- Glen Higson, managing director, Business Insight 3
- Wayne Wild, commercial director, WEC Group
Panel Two: the professionals
In our second panel, we bring together the professionals who can smooth the waters towards a successful transaction.
Again, we will tap into their knowledge and experience, get their expert advice and explore just what is needed to get the right deal financed and ‘over the line’.
- Keith Melling, partner, Napthens Solicitors
- Chris Summerscales, director, Seneca Partners
We’ll conclude the discussions with questions from audience guests.
Lancashire Business View will report in-depth on the event, producing a six-page special feature in its Nov-Dec 2019 issue, in order to share the Insight gathered with its 30,000 print magazine readers and online.
