Centre for SME & Enterprise Development Business Twilight Event

This is our first face-to-face event since the coronavirus pandemic started and we are looking forward to seeing you in person! Hopefully in the sunshine!

Highlights include:

"Winning customers is easy!"

...at least that's what the business plan says. That's what we tell the bank or investors or anyone else interested. In reality, it's different. It's tough to cut through the noise of a crowded and increasingly commoditised market. Tough to define a clear point of difference in an increasingly homogenised world. We'll be joined by Richard Baguley, managing director at GDR Public Relations who will share tips and techniques to help you:

  • Win valued customers
  • Cut through the noise of competitors
  • Define a clear point of difference to help you stand out
  • Create a compelling proposition for customers

Shooting video with your smartphone can be simple, and it can be fun.

It can also be a powerful marketing tool. David ‘DT’ Guest, video marketing strategist from Workshop Media, will walk through an immediate to use process for using your devices to create video, when to film and why, and solving some of the blocks that stop us from pressing ‘record’. David tells us ‘I get businesses to use video to attract more customers. I do this by getting people to understand WHY they’re using video and WHAT they want specific videos to do. And HOW they can get them made!’

Our resident expert, Craig Lawrenson, will provide an SME Finance update to help ensure that you are up-to-date and making the most of financial opportunities available for small businesses
