We are seeking an account manager to join the business at a time of growth to support the sales team.

This is a key appointment for Lancashire Business View and we are looking for someone who can nurture and grow an existing client base whilst building their own network.

You will be involved in all aspects of our magazine and events with the opportunity to develop our platforms.

 

About us

We publish an award-winning magazine and stage award-winning, industry-leading events. We are an independent business based in Lancashire and we’re planning to grow.

Lancashire Business View (LBV) magazine has been the magazine for industry, commerce and regeneration in the county since 2005. We bring the Lancashire business community together to celebrate success and encourage trade in the county.

We have a large online presence which is updated daily; a digital version of the magazine; we distribute frequent online communications; and have a strong following on social media.

We stage around 30 events each year, mostly within the LBV events calendar ranging from themed debates for up to 10 delegates to the national award-winning Red Rose Awards which attracts more than 1,000 guests annually.

We are a small, busy and dynamic team, and all contribute to the direction of the business. We work hard and have a lot of fun in the process!

 

The role

Lancashire Business View is growing and we are looking to make a key appointment to support the future of the business.

We are looking for someone who has experience in a customer facing / sales role who will grab hold of this opportunity and make it their own.

This position offers a ready-made client base for you to start out with. It is yours to nurture, grow and develop through various sales and marketing activity with support from the wider LBV team.

Lancashire Business View and its associated brands are well known throughout the county and this role offers the opportunity to develop your own network and work across all of our platforms.

 

The job will involve: 

  • Sales and business development support across all services and products
  • Seeking, sharing and converting new commercial opportunities for the business
  • Working closely with the marketing team to create effective, successful campaigns
  • Planning and scheduling commercial and business development activity
  • Data management including recording and tracking of information and regular reporting
  • Liaising with clients and developing new customer relationships
  • Working with the editorial team to generate ideas and new areas of growth for the magazine and related products
  • Attending networking events to represent Lancashire Business View in the business community across the region
  • Acting as an ambassador for all the company’s brands 


Requirements:

Essential

  • Experience in a customer facing role
  • Can-do positive attitude
  • Confident and persuasive communicator
  • Ability to work as part of a team and independently
  • Ability to prioritise and meet deadlines
  • IT literate with knowledge and experience in Microsoft office programmes such as word, excel and outlook
  • Full driving licence and access to own car

 

Desirable

  • Networking experience
  • Experience of working on publications and/or events
  • Experience of CRM or similar for use in commercial activity
